진달래&박우혁이 발간하는 『코스모스』 제1권 『코스믹 프레그먼트』는 백남준아트센터의 《색동: 우주 오페라》에 출품된 〈코스믹 프레그먼트〉의 일부이자 설명서이다. 〈코스믹 프레그먼트〉는 같은 높이의 평면 위에 흩어진 파편들, 서로 다른 밀도와 빈 공간, 그리고 그 사이에서 우연히 생겨나는 관계를 통해 하나의 2차원적 우주를 구성한다. 이 우주는 완전한 질서도 무질서도 아닌, 잠시 구조를 이루었다가 다시 흩어지는 상태에 놓여 있다. 하나의 큰 장이 접히고 분기되며 여러 단위로 변주되는 형식 속에서 『코스모스 1: 코스믹 프레그먼트』는 그 불안정하고도 조용한 질서를 더듬기 시작한다.

Published by Jin Dallae & Park Woo Hyuk, Cosmos, Vol. 1, Cosmic Fragment, is both a part of and a guide to Cosmic Fragment, presented in Cosmic Color Opera at the Nam June Paik Art Center. Cosmic Fragment constructs a two-dimensional universe through fragments scattered across a single plane, varying densities and empty spaces, and the contingent relations that emerge between them. This universe exists neither in complete order nor in complete disorder, but in a state where structures briefly form and disperse. Within a form in which a larger field folds, branches, and transforms into multiple units, Cosmos 1: Cosmic Fragment begins to trace this quiet and unstable order.
